There are a few chain restaurants I like and Carraba's is one of them. I Usually go there for the chicken yes the chicken. The way they season and grill it just gives a great taste. I usually order the chicken Bryan but the other chicken dishes are good too. The other reason Carraba's will always be on my list is the service. I've never had bad or even mediocre service at Carraba's. It's always top notch. This night was no exception as Katalina did a great job. For example, my husband ordered his dish with extra sauce and she came back to check to make sure he got it right. This attention to detail is sadly lacking in most places, but I find it pretty standard here and I'm happy to come back for it.
Had a very delightful dinner last night at Carrabba's. We sat right in front of the Chefs, love the open kitchen style, and was greeted by Brooke. She brought us some bread as we looked over the menu. I wish I had gotten his name but, this very nice chef started small talk with us. He ended up surprising us with some ricotta filled raviolis w spinach. They were so yummy! Its little things that really make a restaurant stand out. Started off with the small plate of meatballs in ricotta. It was a good size for the price. Super saucy, which I love, and lots of ricotta. We ended up sharing a plate of the Chicken Bryan, my favorite! Nice size piece of chicken, with goat cheese and lots of sun dried tomatoes! Didn't know this but if you reject the soup or salad, you can get another side! We tried the mash potatoes, which were superb and angel hair tossed in pomodoro sauce. Overall great dinner, good atmosphere, and will defiantly be coming back.
Received a GC from this location and thought what a perfect way to try this place for the first time lol. We did an order online and pick up right around opening time. You can even choose at what time you'd like to pick up your order. There's a special entrance to pick up your orders on the side instead of walking through the main entrance in case you're not dressed for the part. When we walked in we were greeted right away and as newbees we wen through the main entrance. The hostess kindly showed us where to go. Our food wasn't ready but we were also the first ones there. While we were waiting I noticed some Carabba's car lights that you put on top of the cars for delivery. **They do a within 7 miles distance from the restaurant delivery!** We ordered the Linguine Pescatore with house salad and the Mezzaluna with a cedar salad. The Linguine Pescatore is a spicy marinara with shrimp, scallop, and mussels. Not the spicy level I was expecting, I really wanted more spice but the flavors were great non the less. I added my own pepper as well lol. The Mezzaluna was ricotta, spinach and I forget what meat stuffed ravioli with a vodka cream sauce that I really really enjoyed. For and order and pick up Carrabba's was pretty tasteful. I'm not usually into Italian bc it's very cheese based and I typically get a basic shrimp/chicken Alfredo if I'm feeling Italian. But I wanted to try something new at a new spot. And I have no regrets!
When we first walked in, there was a pretty bad, strong odor like old cheese. It did not smell good. We decided to sit at the bar to get away from it, and I'm glad we did. We had the best service from the bartender, Reed. He was very informative, quick, and friendly. He acknowledged us as soon as we sat and got our drinks. He brought delicious fresh baked, hot bread with olive oil and pesto to us. I wasn't going to eat it, but once I started, I couldn't stop. We had the choice of soup or salad and we both chose the chicken soup. Wow! Super good. It was nice and peppery and loaded with chicken and noodles. Next time someone gets sick, I'm definitely getting this soup for them. I ordered the chicken Maria dish which was grilled chicken with fontina cheese melted inside and then smothered with mushrooms. Pretty good, but a little over cooked. Mine came with a side and I got the broccoli. My husband had the shrimp Parmesan. There were several unite large pieces of shrimp included along with a side of pasta. I finished off with. Cappuccino which was huge and frothy. I didn't know about the rewards program offered at this chain of restaurants, but I do now, thanks to the bartender. I just might become a regular;)
